Input
Describes, literally, (as a verb) the activity of 'putting in', or (as a noun) the material which has been put in, but, of course, being an IT expression, it has to be shortened and reversed. Input may be manual or automatic, but in both cases the organisation system should have a means of checking the integrity of the material being entered and the authority of the originator to perform this function.
