Another abbreviated prefix which will soon be overused, standing for 'mobile'. It is being used to describe messaging and transactional activities which can be conducted using a mobile telephone, including access to E-mail, the Internet, and other communications. The term is often associated with WAP, and growing numbers of mobile telephones are being marketed as 'WAP enabled'; m-functions raise the combined security concerns of e-functions and laptops.
