Percussive Maintenance

Old military term used to describe an approach to hardware problems - 'If it won't work - hit it'.

IT hardware engineers have added - 'If that doesn't work, - use a bigger hammer'.

Surprisingly there can be some value in this approach when, for example, loose connections are jarred back into place ! However, we do not advocate this approach and take no responsibility for loss or damage resulting from trials of this nature!
