Taking Official Notes of Employee Meetings

Interviews held with employees are to be formally recorded and the minutes agreed. These documents are to be treated with the same level of confidentiality as the meeting itself.

  • Where employee interview information is not kept confidential, the organisation risks both contravention of legal requirements and staff grievance.

  • Ensure that organisation Information Security guidelines on the classification of document content are adhered to.
  • Ensure that any personal information recorded during employee interviews is handled in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act or its local equivalent.
  • Ensure the correct document classification storage rules are used with interview data. See Classifying Information and Data.
